Turkey’s
agricultural value added as a share of GDP

As you can
see in the table, Turkey’s agricultural value added as a share in the GDP rates
starts at 10% year by year we observe up and down flow. When we observe in 2020
rate is 6,7%. The process of 20 years decreases by approximately 4%. The
current rate is 5.5% in 2021.

rural population as a share of the total population.

Table 2 includes
20 years rate of Turkey’s rural population as a share of the total population. The
rate started at 35% in 2000 and steadily declined over the years. In 2020 rate
is 23%.

Turkey’s
agricultural land use

We observe
that Turkey's agricultural land use was 52.6 in 2000. The highest land use rate
over the years was 53.6% in 2006 and the lowest rate was 49% in 2019. We
observed in Table 2 that the rural population of Turkey decreased from 35% to
23% between 2000-2020. As a result of these two situations, we observed a
decrease in the ratio of agricultural value in Turkey to GDP in table 1.
